Defense Day is being celebrated with enthusiasm across the country today in remembrance of India's shocking defeat in the September war.



On September 6, 1965, Indian forces crossed the international border near Lahore and tried to enter the city, but the enemy encountered resistance at Bedian and Wagah.

The lifeless grandsons of the nation narrated timeless tales of courage and bravery to the enemy and ensured the defense of the motherland.

At 12 o'clock in the night in Islamabad, a spectacular fireworks display was held which spread a rainbow of colors in the sky of the federal capital and the national anthems shed the blood of the citizens.

After Fajr prayers on the occasion of Defense Day, special prayers were offered in mosques across the country for the development and prosperity of Pakistan and the Pakistan Army. Prominent events are being organized across the country.

A Defense Day function was held at the Naval Headquarters Islamabad on the occasion of Martyrs' Memorial. On this occasion, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi laid flowers at the memorial and recited Fateha.

Prominent ceremonies were held at the shrine of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan, and Allama Muhammad Iqbal, the thinker of Pakistan.

Air Vice Marshal Shakeel Ghazanfar was the chief guest at the prestigious guard change ceremony at Mazar-e-Quaid.

Air Chief Marshal Shakeel Ghassanfar offered Fateha at Mazar-e-Quaid and laid a wreath of flowers and recorded his impressions in the guest book.

At Mazar-e-Quaid, a well-armed contingent of Asghar Khan Academy of the Pakistan Air Force assumed the duties of honorary guards, including 46 cadets including 3 women.

A guard change ceremony was also held at Mazar-e-Iqbal in Lahore. DG Rangers Major General Amir Majeed was the chief guest of the function. The special guest laid flowers at Mazar-e-Iqbal and offered Fateha.
