KARACHI: Sindh government spokesman Barrister Murtaza Wahab has said that rain water has been removed from almost all areas of Defense Housing Authority (DHA) while more work is underway to help the people.

In a message on social networking site Twitter, Sindh government spokesman Barrister Murtaza Wahab said that DHA was almost clean and driving able after the drainage of water from 26th Street.
In the message, Sindh government spokesman Murtaza Wahab said that we want to take the pumping machines to Bukhari Commercial but apparently there is no drain, so we are looking for another way to solve the problem.
Sindh government spokesman Murtaza Wahab said that we have to find a drain in the vicinity for drainage of rain water from Bukhari Commercial. We are trying our best to help the people who are in trouble.

It may be recalled that earlier the rains in Karachi had stopped and the drainage system was destroyed while draining the standing water in the streets.
Citizens were already worried about the devastation caused by the rains, while problems with boiling gutters and sewerage lines began to surface across the city.
